Do you or someone close have a common earache? At the first sign of fever or sore throat is the time to act before it becomes acute. My earache blend contains lavender essential oil. Lavender will help with the drainage and sooth.
It also contains Tea Tree essential oil. It has strong anti-microbial properties. If there is fluid build up in the middle ear bacteria, virus and/or fungus will see their as their que to make a home. Tea Tree is just the thing to help!
Last there is Basil essential oil. Basil is a bit of both lavender and tea tree. It can help thin the mucus so it drains more like lavender and it has anti-microbial properties like that of the tea tree. All of this is in a glass roll on with organic grapeseed oil.
I suggest rolling it on behind the ear and around the jaw line. You can also roll some on a cotton ball and wipe the inside of the ear (not down in the ear canal). You can do this every 15 minutes as needed.
I don't promote letting it drip into the ear because I know a lot of times it is small children that are using this. Essential oils, while much safer (in my opinion) than medications, are very powerful things. After all we are using them to heal right? Knowing how sensitive children's bodies can be I think it is best to keep essential oils diluted and on the outside of the body.
